ABOUT THE FRONT OFFICE

The Front Office is an educational experience utilizing the structure of sports video games to expose our youth to careers in sports.  Young people will learn how to be an owner, general manager, public relations manager and head coach. 

The students will utilize math and logic as they manage the salary cap, communication skills to manage public relations, executive leadership to learn and execute business strategy, and lastly have fun!

Participants will learn:

Career paths around the sports industry, budgeting, writing, media training and many other C-suite level skills.

~ Interact with stakeholders via media interviews, social media, philanthropy etc.

PUBLIC RELATIONS MANAGER

~  Develop and maintain a social media presence

~ Provide season preview

~ Weekly game recap

~ Interview the coach, GM, and owner

~ Media training for key leaders

HEAD COACH

~ Interview for and earn a head coaching job

~ Develop talent on the roster

~ Meet season objectives

~ Use statistical data analysis to develop game-alan for each opponent

* Each team will have its own objectives that will measure their success.

How to win!

To win The Front Office championship we will take a composite score of each franchise. This score will be based on the following:

 25% owner

25% general manager

 25% public relations manager

 25% head coach
